Microsoft imposes deadline to upgrade to Internet Explorer 11

"Internet Explorer 11 is the last major version of Internet Explorer, and will continue to be supported for the life of the operating system on which it is installed – including Windows 7, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10," Microsoft said in a statement.

However browsers earlier than Internet Explore 11 will no longer be supported from the 12th January 2016.

Internet Explorer 11 is the default browser on updated versions of Windows 8.1 and Windows 10, but it is not the default on Windows 7 or Windows Vista. Upgrades to Internet Explorer 11 are available for Windows 7 and users who want to keep systems running the operating system secure need to run these updates to ensure that.
